Baking cookies and decorating them afterwards is always fun, especially when your icing does what you want it to do, and goes where you want it to go….
In order to help you make sure the icing goes on the cookies rather than.. everywhere else, we put together this quick review of 3 of the best squeeze bottles for icing cookies.
Best Squeeze Bottles With Coupler For Icing Cookies
Best Squeeze Bottles With Coupler For Icing Cookies: decorating bottles for icing cookies from Hobbyland
These decorating bottles for icing cookies from Hobbyland come in packs of either 3 or 6, and are available in a small 2-ounce size and a larger 8-ounce side.
Each pack come with couplers as well as writing tips, so you can get started with your cookie decorating party, right away!
The couplers can be used with the included writing tip, as well as with Wilton tips, if you prefer those. The included tip can be trimmed, in case you want a bigger hole for food icing.
Because these bottles are rather long and slender, it’s easy to use them for writing and decorating, and the soft plastic makes them easy to squeeze, without your hand getting tired, which is definitely a plus.
All in all, these squeeze bottles are the perfect decorating bottles for icing cookies, due to their fine tip and the ability for you to add your own tips, in combination with the coupler.
Best Large Squeeze Bottles For Icing And Flooding Cookies
Best Large Squeeze Bottles For Icing And Flooding Cookies: Daily Chef translucent white squeeze bottles -16 Oz. - 6 pk
These squeeze bottles were actually made for condiments, but that hasn’t stopped a lot of baking enthusiasts (as well as professionals!!) from using them for icing cookies.
The bottles are quite large, with the ability to hold up to 16oz, and that’s exactly what makes them the perfect decorating bottles for icing and flooding cookies.
These icing bottles are easy, not only due to the large opening, but also because they can go in the dishwasher, so cleanup is easy, once you’re done icing cookies!
The large opening makes it easy to fill the bottle without getting icing everywhere. The tip is fine enough for more detailed work, however due to the large size, flooding cookies is where these bottles really shine, as you don’t have to refill them over and over. Furthermore, if you feel that the icing is coming out too slowly / the amount is too small, then simply cut more off the tip and you’re good to go.
We all know, that if you wait too long when icing cookies, the outline will dry before you have time to flood, making the final cookies look uneven and not as pretty as they could’ve looked, had you been able to flood them faster.
All in all, if you’re looking for larger sized squeeze bottles for icing and flooding your cookies, then I personally think these ones are worth looking into!
Best Set Of Squeeze Bottles For Icing Cookies
Best Set Of Squeeze Bottles For Icing Cookies: Fox Run Set of 3 Icing Bottles
If you’re just getting into decorating cookies, and don’t want to invest too much into the project before you know whether or not you even like it, then this set of squeeze bottles might just be what you’re looking for.
The set comes with 3 bottles, one large 10oz bottle for flooding and 2 small 2oz bottles for detail work.
The large bottle has a big opening which makes it easy to fill, and comes with a little cap so you can close it when it’s not in use (although the icing might dry out if you wait tooooo long).
The small bottles come with a coupler and and icing tip. The tip can be switched out if you prefer to use your own / another brand, together with the coupler.
The plastic is super soft and easy to squeeze.
While these aren’t the BEST decorating bottles for icing ever created (the coupler on the small bottles is a bit delicate), they’re good for beginners who just want to try icing cookies once, or for people who decorate cookies once a year, and therefore don’t want to fill their entire kitchen with decorating bottles for icing cookies…
These bottles don’t go in the dishwasher (or microwave, for that matter), so the best way to clean them is to let them soak in hot soapy water for a while, and then rinse them out afterwards.
Where to buy squeeze bottles for icing
If you’re wondering where to buy squeeze bottles for icing, you might want to give Amazon a try, as they carry so many different kind of squeeze bottles, that you’re sure to find what you’re looking for!
If you’d rather go to a physical store, then I recommend checking out Michael’s, although I find that it’s kind of hit or miss, whether they have what I’m looking for on that particular day. Last time I went, I saw these icing bottles, which I thought looked super cute, however the price was a bit steep, so I ended up not going for them.
